A guesthouse where you feel at home

Come to Småland and discover the authentic Sweden. Experience Sweden as if you took part in a novel by Astrid Lindgren. By the way, did you know that Astrid Lindgren's World is only 50 km from Kröken? You can enjoy the silence in Emhult, a hamlet surrounded by woods with a beautiful biotope.

Our base used to be a farm, being one of the oldest houses in the hamlet of Emhult, and was built around 1800. In addition to the main building, we have constructed a new sanitary block with showers and an authentic wood-fired Finnish sauna. In the garden, you find a wooden hot tub with enjoyable warm water, where guests can relax.

During the summer of 2013, our new guest house was put into use. It contains four duplex rooms, each with room for 5 guests. Every room also has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The bedroom on the ground floor has a double bed that may be transformed into two single beds if the need arises. The upstairs bedroom has three single beds. If you only rent a room in a duplex, you share the toilet. Showers are in the separate sauna building.

We have decided not to place TV’s in the rooms; you do not need to come to Emhult to watch television. We strive for personal contact with our guests and hope that our guests also enjoy spending time together.

In the main building, we serve a full breakfast every morning and in the evening you can enjoy a simple meal consisting of local products.

We do not have a guest kitchen available. If you wish to prepare food you may use the grill in the garden if you wish to grill something, for example sausages.

Unfortunately, due to the many thresholds and stairs, our location is not accessible for wheelchair users
